Fellow Artists Beware! I was tipped off by another artist that my 'Hydrangea' Fae was copied as an ACEO and sold on eBay. The eBay seller is 'pollyart1'. I've already reported her to eBay and her listing has been removed, but not after she made about $34 off my art. I noticed that she's ripping off other artists as well. Please visit her site and if you recognize other artists' work, please let them know so they can take action.
She's still has my Hydrangea Fae posted on her website www.ebsqart.com/Art-Shows/Exhi…; I sent her the below email explaining that what she is doing is wrong. Hope I wasn't too hard on her, but I really want her to learn.

Dear Ms. Polly Ford,
You claim to be an artist. As one artist to another, you know how difficult it is to come up with an original idea and composition, and to execute it through hard practiced skill to come up with a final image. That said, I cannot express my profound dismay that you copied my 'Hydrangea Fae' and not only posted your 'copy' as your own work, but entered it in a contest and sold the ACEO. Let me explain something to you, ALL of my art is ORIGINAL AND COPYRIGHTED. Most of the images you find on the internet are protected under copyright laws. You know what that means, it means that what you did was illegal. You cannot profit off of other peoples copyrighted material. You cannot surf the web and just copy what you find and pass it off as your own work. It's NOT YOUR WORK! I noticed that I'm not the only artist that you've STOLEN FROM.
I have already reported you to eBay. I've posted your website on my fb Page to warn others of your deceptive practices. I've warned my circle of fantasy artists to keep an eye on you to make sure that they don't see you selling other artists' work. Please understand that I'm not attacking you personally. We artists have a hard enough time scraping a living off of our hard work. For you to come along and profit by copying our work is illegal and quite frankly, unethical.
If you want to be a TRUE artist, practice and work very hard on your OWN original ideas. Please stop copying off of the rest of us. I am more than happy to offer you guidance on honing your own skills to create your own truly unique art, but you can't copy my (or other artists') work. It just dishonest and wrong.
I really hope you understand this. Please remove the Hydrangea Flower Fairy from your website, facebook page and any other site you have this posted. If you don't remove it, I will be forced to report you on these other sites as I reported you on eBay. I don't mean to be a jerk, just protecting my copyrighted property. I suggest that you research copyright laws and art theft if you still don't understand what I'm tell you.

I hope your letter helped her realise the harm she is doing by copying the work of other artists and she stops after that.
